Cost of Registration:
Course registration for a 2.5 consecutive day GTT unit: $650
Course registration for a five consecutive day GTT CT course: $1200.00 
Course registration for the ten consecutive day PTE and BMS courses: $2400.00      

Housing:
On-Campus Housing: $150 for 2.5 day GTT Unit, $225 for 5 day GTT Foundation Units, and $575 for 10 day PTE and BMS courses.
Off campus lodging:  Contact Courtyard by Marriott at (803) 799-7800 and request "USC PLTW Rate" 
The hotel is walking distance from the College. Arrangements must be made by the teacher.  USC cannot make off campus housing arrangements.

Meals:
Meal plans can be purchased in the amount of $75.00 for 2.5 day GTT units, $130.00 for the five day GTT Core Training courses, and $305.00 for the ten day Core Training courses. Lunch only meal plan for $65 for the five day GTT Core Training courses and $125 for the ten day Core Training Courses.  The meal plan amounts are based on the South Carolina current maximum meal allowance in-state per diem of $25.00/day. The meal plan includes a catered lunch on site each day, and a declining balance meal card for the other meals. All meals are the responsibility of the teacher. Numerous restaurants of various price ranges are within walking distance of the College.            

Core Training Course Registration Process:
After the reservation for a seat in a PLTW Core Training course at the University of South Carolina has been made with PLTW, the teacher, school, or school district representative will have a period of 45 calendar days to complete payment by credit card or electronic check. Payment Process:
The confirmation process for a seat in a PLTW Core Training course at the University of South Carolina is as follows:   

  1. After the teacher has completed registration for their PLTW Core Training with PLTW, the teacher, school, or school district representative must visit the USC Marketplace website to complete payment by credit card, or electronic check. 
  2. If for any reason the teacher, school, or school district representative cannot provide payment by credit card or electronic check, the Affiliate office must be contacted directly to make other payment arrangements.

Payment must be received within 30 calendar days of the registration before the Affiliates office will confirm the PLTW Core Training course seat reservation. The University of South Carolina PLTW Affiliate Director’s Office must be contacted directly to confirm a seat reservation for a University of South Carolina PLTW Core Training course made with PLTW after December 1st. If for some reason the teacher registered for the University of South Carolina PLTW Core Training course is not able to attend the training, the reservation is transferrable to another teacher by the school, or school district within the course during the same PLTW Core Training session.

Cancellation Fee:
The registration made with PLTW for the Core Training course at University of South Carolina can be cancelled within 5 calendar days without a cancellation fee penalty. If payment in full is not received within 45 days of the registration date with PLTW, the PLTW Core Training course seat reservation will be canceled by the University of South Carolina Affiliate Director unless special arrangements for payment have been made by the school district billing contact.  A cancellation fee in the amount of $500.00 will be invoiced to the billing contact specified on the teachers PLTW registration with PLTW by the University of South Carolina Affiliate’s Director’s office. Fees paid on behalf of a participant who fails to attend the training will not be refunded.
